My grandfather was the biggest winemaker in the CSR (Czechoslovak Socialist Republic.)  He produced 5000 hl (hectoliter=100 liters) of consumer and first-class wine; he had 170-250 workers and wine model cellar with a capacity of 6,000 hl.

In 1942, the entire property was confiscated by the Nazis, and in 1944 the entire family was murdered in Auschwitz. I searched for evidence for many years and finally in December 2022, I found evidence in the Slovak National Archives. I immediately turned to the state authorities, who immediately refused the issue because the deadline expired on December 31, 2004. My Father changed his name from Fussmann to Foltyn after the war.
